Frequently Asked Questions
Below are many common questions we receive from clients. We hope browsing these answers will give you a clear picture of what working together will look like. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Design
Every project we take on includes dedicated time with our designer, who will work closely with you and ensure your vision is brought to life. From layout and design to the finer details like cabinet and door hardware, Arc Renovations ensures every element is thoughtfully selected and cohesive.
We’re happy to work within your existing layout if that’s your preference, and we’re also glad to suggest changes that would improve functionality and flow. If desired, we have the experience and capability to remove load-bearing walls and open up your layout to create a more spacious, modern feel. It all depends on your goals, budget, and overall vision for your space.
Budget & Pricing
Most kitchen remodels fall between $40,000 and $90,000, with larger or more custom projects sometimes exceeding that range. Your final cost will depend on factors like the size of your kitchen, the materials and finishes you choose, and whether your project includes structural changes such as removing walls or relocating plumbing.
For bathroom remodels, costs typically range from $20,000 to $50,000, again depending on the size of your space, any layout changes, and the level of customization you're looking for. During our consultation, we’ll work with you to define a scope and budget that aligns with your vision and priorities while maintaining the quality craftsmanship we've come to be known for.
We provide a comprehensive scope of work with every estimate, outlining in detail the materials included and the full range of work to be completed. This ensures you'll have a clear understanding of what’s included in your project from start to finish. We do not provide itemized, line-by-line pricing for each component (such as labor hours per task or pricing for every individual material). There are several reasons for this. First, our estimates account for project management, coordination, and supervision—not just materials and labor. Overhead costs, such as insurance, scheduling, communication, and quality control, are built into the overall price. Lastly, many elements of a remodel are interdependent, and pricing them separately can be misleading or confusing. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with a clear, honest, and accurate estimate that reflects the complete value of the work and service we deliver. We're always happy to walk through the scope with you and answer any questions you may have about specific items.
If any unexpected costs arise during the project—whether due to hidden issues uncovered during demolition or changes requested by you—we will prepare a written change order detailing the scope of the additional work and any associated costs. All change orders must be reviewed, approved, and signed off on by you before any work proceeds. To keep your project on schedule, we also ask that all change orders be paid in full on the day they're approved. This process ensures transparency, avoids delays, and keeps everyone aligned as your project moves forward.

Yes, we supply all materials needed for your kitchen remodel, including cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, tile, and more. In fact, we prefer to provide all materials as it allows us to ensure everything is properly sourced, compatible, and delivered on time. By handling the material selection and ordering process, we can:
- Ensure all components work together seamlessly
- Confirm product specifications and measurements are accurate
- Track and schedule deliveries to keep the project moving smoothly
- Avoid delays or issues caused by missing or incompatible items
This approach helps us maintain quality control and keeps your renovation on schedule. You'll still be fully involved in the selection process, but we'll take care of all the logistics so you don't have to.
Yes, absolutely. If certain elements of your project—cabinets, flooring, or appliances—are in good condition and you’d like to keep them, we’re happy to incorporate them into the new design. We’ll evaluate the existing features during our consultation to ensure they’re compatible with the scope of the remodel and can be integrated seamlessly. Reusing select items can also help reduce costs and preserve aspects of the kitchen you already love.
Timeline & Scheduling
On average, a kitchen remodel takes about 6 to 8 weeks from the start of construction to final cleanup. For bathroom remodels, the timeline is typically 4 to 6 weeks. These timelines can vary depending on the scope of work, material availability, and whether any structural changes are involved. We'll do everything we can to keep your project on schedule and running smoothly, with materials ordered well in advance and all details planned out well before construction begins.
Unfortunately, no—once your remodel begins, that area will be out of commission for the duration of the project. For Kitchen renovations, most of our clients choose to set up a temporary kitchen in another area of the home, such as a basement, laundry room, or garage, using small appliances like a microwave, toaster oven, or portable cooktop. That said, we understand how disruptive this can be, which is why we’re committed to keeping the project moving efficiently. Our team is on the jobsite every day possible, and we work hard to return your kitchen to full use as quickly as we can, without sacrificing quality.
While we do everything possible to keep your project on schedule, a few factors can occasionally cause delays, including:
- Material delays or backorders (especially custom or specialty items)
- Unforeseen issues uncovered during demolition (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or structural problems)
- Change orders or scope changes made after the project begins
- Permit or inspection delays from local building departments
- Scheduling conflicts with specialty trades if timelines shift unexpectedly
We plan carefully and order materials in advance to minimize these risks. Our team also communicates proactively, so if any delay does arise, you’ll know immediately—and we’ll work quickly to keep the project moving forward.
Yes, we'll provide daily updates throughout your entire project. We understand that renovating a large area of your home is a major decision, and keeping you informed every step of the way is our top priority. Our goal is to provide you with clear, consistent communication so you always know both what’s happening onsite and what to expect next.
Cleanliness, Safety & Access
At Arc Renovations, one of our top priorities is to keep your home comfortable and livable throughout the renovation process. We take proactive steps to protect the rest of your home from dust, debris, and construction traffic. This includes:
- Installing ZipWalls to contain dust and isolate the work area
- Using carpet protectors and Albert Floorotex Blue
- All-Purpose Temporary Floor Protection to safeguard floors and high-traffic areas
- Thoroughly cleaning the jobsite at the end of each day to minimize disruption and maintain a tidy environment
We promise to treat your home with care and respect—just as we would our own.
Yes, we do ask that all cabinets, drawers, and storage areas be completely emptied before your project begins. This helps us work efficiently and protects your belongings from dust or damage. If you have larger items that are hard to move—such as a refrigerator, dresser, or other heavy furniture—we’re happy to assist with moving those when we arrive on demolition day. Just let us know in advance, and our team will handle it with care.
Yes, our team will be on-site every day we possibly can. We are committed to keeping your project moving consistently and efficiently from start to finish. There may be brief periods of downtime—for example, between countertop templating and installation—but even then, we do our best to schedule other work to keep the momentum going. We’re not a company that overextends ourselves or pulls crews off jobs. Our focus is always on the customer we are currently working with, and we take pride in seeing each project through with full attention and care.
Communication & Coordination
This depends on the stage of your project. During the initial estimate and design phase, you’ll work closely with Jude, the owner of Arc Renovations, as well as our in-house designer, Mary, to shape the vision and scope of your remodel. Once construction begins, your main point of contact will shift to our on-site foreman, Josh, who will manage day-to-day progress and keep you informed throughout the process. All this being said, Jude remains available at all times. If any questions or decisions come up that go beyond the foreman’s responsibilities, Jude is just a call or message away to ensure everything stays on track and aligned with your expectations.
If you decide to make any changes or upgrades after the project has started, we handle them through a formal change order process. This ensures everything is clearly documented and agreed upon before any additional work begins. We will:
- Discuss the change with you and provide any necessary recommendations or options
- Prepare a written change order detailing the scope of the change, cost, and any impact on the schedule
- Get your approval and signature before proceeding
- Collect payment for the change order on the day it is approved, to keep the project on schedule
We’re always happy to accommodate adjustments when possible, and this process helps ensure transparency and smooth communication throughout the remodel.
Yes, we offer a 1-year warranty on all workmanship and materials provided. This covers any defects or issues that arise due to installation or product failure within that time. Beyond the written warranty, we’re committed to standing behind our work. Our business is built on referrals and word of mouth, so if a problem comes up due to an installation error—even after the warranty period—we’ll do everything we can to make it right. Your satisfaction is our long-term priority.
